Ninfea siam purple 1

The water lily Siam Purple 1 is an ISG or intersubgeneric, i.e. a cross between rustic and tropical water lily.
It has very large purple flowers with white shades at the base.
It is one of the first "rustic" purple water lilies and its hybridizer is Pairat Songpabich in 2007.
The leaves of this plant have a marbled red colour when young.
